Misty
Of Chincoteague / Beebe Ranch:
On July 29th, 1997 The Misty of Chincoteague Foundation
unveiled this statue, created by Virginia Sculptor,
Brian Maughan, to serve as a landmark monument of Marguerite
Henry's beloved book character, Misty.
The
sculpture was inspired by the well-loved character of
the book along with the sculptor's own observations
of Chincoteague's ponies. The sculptor, Brian Maughan,
spent almost a year creating the beautiful piece. This
monument is located on a portion of the original Beebe
Ranch on Chincoteague, which has been preserved by the
Foundation. Location: Beebe Ranch, 3062 Ridge Road,
